Weekly Ketchup: January 31st 2025

Weekly Ketchup: January 31st 2025

Fan Expo wrapped up this past weekend and this week has been a busy one working on a whole bunch of worm-themed art goods with some miscellaneous tasks mixed in for good. So, let's get to the ketchup!

Projects:
I've joined a bunch of other artists in creating a fun worm-themed multi-maker drop. What does that mean though? A bunch of internet creators have gotten together to create worm-themed products and will be releasing all the wormy goodness... today! There are stickers, art prints and desktop wormies!

Events:
My next event is in a couple of weeks and it's called the Market for the Strange. It'll be in Salem and the event and location will be new for me as an artist/vendor. I'm excited to see how this one goes because it'll be very different from what I've done before. Most events I've done are street fairs, comic cons and other art/craft themed events. This one has a strong focus on odd, dark and strange things. Since a lot of my art focuses on ghosts, skulls and cryptids, I thought I should try it out and see how it goes. If you're in Salem, come check it out!

Fan Expo finished up this past weekend. Unfortunately it wasn't the right type of event for me. There wasn't a big turnout and the people that did show up weren't really there for my type of art. I did get a chance to meet up with my fellow vendor friends which is always great. I got to talk with lots of people that stopped by my booth and it's always a boost when I get compliments for what I do.

Drawing:
Hey guess what? More worms! Shocker I know. The past couple of weeks have been all about worms and they've been a lot of fun.

Video:
I haven’t really worked on my video. Boo. That's sad, but it happens. It's lower priority compared to other things, but I'm just going to keep chipping away at it.

Retailer Visits:
I have 4 shops in the Portland area that carry a variety of my art. This week I visited 2 of them to stock up since Christmas wiped them out. The 2 shops I visited are Pinky PDX and Memento. If you're in the Portland area, go give the shops a visit and tell them "Jason from Hi, Hello There”.

Thanks for reading. Now, on to the next week!
