Weekly Ketchup: April 18th 2025
This week’s ketchup: booth work, coffee shops, stickers and event preps.
Booth Work
This week continues my slow progress on the booth. Last week, I got the pegboards drilled and this week I got ALL the panels sanded down. That was such a long and tedious process, but it’s necessary. I made a lot of good progress and even started painting the panels. I’m hoping to have enough panels done that I can start implementing my plan at my next event which will be Market for the Strange on Sunday the 27th.
Insomnia Coffee
Another visit to the coffee shop this week to replenish inventory. I’m happy to see enamel pins, stickers and earrings doing well. I actually swapped out a few stickers for some different designs to see if those might do better. So far, Unicorns seem to be selling well.
Stickers
I played around with this idea of coloring your own stickers quite a bit last year. There was an idea that popped into my head months ago and jotted that down on a post it note. Well, the idea smacked me in the face recently and I decided to devote some time to setting up a color your own sticker design that I plan to include as a freebie with orders. So if you like the design, you can get this included free with any order from the shop.
Events
I spent a good deal of time looking ahead at events that will be happening this summer. There’s so much planning that goes into events and quite a few events that I’ve applied to are many months out. Last year at the end of Rose City Comic Con, I decided to pay for an exhibitor booth in advance for this year. So my furthest-out event is the Comic Con in September. At this point, I have quite a few other events locked and loaded from now until then, so be sure to check out the Events page to see my schedule.
Drawing
Thanks to my weekly newsletter, I did get a little bit of drawing in this week for myself. Well, technically I did a good deal of drawing for a client, but the drawings I make for myself are always the most fun because there are no restrictions.
